Geometric Abstracts

These paintings come from the concept of Linear Geometric Abstraction. They are the culmination of many artistic disciplines leading to pure form and color. Each work is based on two sets of six overlapping lines that are converted to wedges and colored accordingly. The artist tends to use primary and complimentary transparent colors within a composition. The vibrant, richly colored paintings are a marriage of forms. They vary in scope and size either combining and mixing canvases or leaving them as single compositions. They are straight forward, a progression with one leading to another. The end is never in sight. Sam Jungkurth’s Linear Abstractions rejoice in intimate and immediate expressions, rendering nourishment. Dominant and subordinate elements allow the paintings to speak. They tantalize the eye and satisfy the nexus of imagination.
